Investments - Helmet Capital
Trust. Knowledge. Partnership.
Helmet’s investment strategy is to focus on unlisted SME companies with a good profit potential.
Helmet Capital’s scope consists of businesses in the industrial, retail and service sectors. We believe that our strong industrial and commercial knowledge helps us bring key added value to these specific market segments.
The management team of any company is an important element for growing the value of the business. We want to ensure the management teams we work with share our goals and are fully committed to the planned growth strategies. As a result, we consider the investment horizons to be one of the common goals that we share with the company’s management. A strong partnership and mutual trust between Helmet and its portfolio companies’ management are key to success.
We prioritize our work on profitable businesses with revenue between EUR 5 and 50 million. We are largely focused on buyout investments and look for companies that already have proof of profitable business operations, positive cash flow and a strong potential for growth.
In all our portfolio companies, we assume the role of the majority shareholder. The investors represented by Helmet always own over 50% of the company’s shares. Typically, we request that the management of the seller, entrepreneur or company also be a shareholder in the company being acquired. Often, the management’s share in the company is approximately 20–40%.
